An elegant and unique work with great presence. The upright positioned design features four purple and yellow blossoms complimented by three buds and green foliage. Added depth and complexity is achieved by hand engraved orchids found on the reverse. This coupling of engraved detail and encapsulated flamework is rarely found in the art of paperweight and the techniques are seldom carried out by the same hand. In this work Cathy seemingly moves between the two techniques with ease achieving a delightful feast for the eye.
